Energy storage & release solutions for wind farms

Current problem: Power generation with wind is very volatile

With our LOHC energy storage technology windmills do not need to be switched off when power generation in the grid is too high. The electrical energy from the windmill can be converted to hydrogen, which is then stored in LOHC. If no wind is blowing and the windmill stands still, hydrogen is released from LOHC and then converted to electrical energy. This makes the wind farm base load capable.

Current problem: Clean off-grid solutions are bulky, heavy and have limited capacity.

Our LOHC energy storage technology makes it very easy to deliver large amounts of clean energy to any application anywhere in the world. The photovoltaic panels of the ePOWER PV deliver electrical energy when the sun is shining. If more energy is produced than needed, hydrogen will be produced and stored in LOHC. If the panels do not deliver enough energy for the local consumers, hydrogen will be released from the LOHC in the tank and converted to electrical energy.

Energy release solutions for large buildings

Current problem: Backup power supply depends on diesel generators and burning fossil fuel.

With our LOHC energy storage technology unlimited amounts of energy can safely be stored in tanks close to the consumer. If backup power is needed, the generators can immediately release hydrogen from the LOHC and the integrated power fuel cells with battery buffers provide electrical energy within milliseconds. The hydrogen stored in LOHC can be produced by renewable energy sources, enabling clean and reliable backup power solutions in any size.
