Energy storage & release solutions for wind farms
Current problem: Power generation with wind is very volatile.
With our LOHC energy storage technology, windmills do not need to be switched off when power generation in the grid is too high. The electrical energy from the windmill can be converted to hydrogen, which is then stored in LOHC. If no wind is blowing and the windmill stands still, hydrogen is released from LOHC and then converted to electrical energy. This makes the wind farm base load capable.
Energy storage & release solutions for solar parks
Current Problem: There are tremendous fluctuations in solar power generation.
With our LOHC energy storage technology electrical energy from solar parks will be available 24/7. The electrical energy from the solar park can either be fed into the power grid or be converted to hydrogen and stored in LOHC. If the park is not producing enough energy, the hydrogen can be released from the LOHC and converted back to electrical energy. This not only makes solar parks base load capable, it is also possible to avoid the supply of electrical energy for the power grid when feed-in tariffs are low.

Current problem: Renewables destabilize power grids through their unsteady and unpredictable power generation.
With our LOHC energy storage technology utilities can secure stabilized power grids at all levels. If there are too many producers of electrical energy that cannot be turned down, electrical energy can be stored via hydrogen in LOHC. If more electrical power is needed than supplied to the grid, the LOHC storage solution can be used to stabilize the network. This enables renewables to contribute to a much larger part to electrical power generation.
